I recently visited High Thai while returning from my road trip to upstate New York, and I was quite impressed by the food and atmosphere. Walking in, you order at the counter before you sit down. Once you order, you sit in a very open and welcoming dining room, with a cool pin board map at the far end of the room. The food was delicious. I ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken over jasmine rice, and my girlfriend ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. My dish was was full of many distinct and powerful flavors, and was even a tad sweet, which I liked. The Pad Thai was also quite good! Both our meals were 16, which seemed like a fair price for the quality of the food. Overall, I would say High Thai is a great spot for good food in a nice open environment. I would recommend it to anyone in the area looking for flavor-packed food.

High Thai continues to impress! A casual (you order at the counter and your food is brought to you) style combined with delicious, creative and authentic curries and wings stand out to my family. The Panang Curry is my favorite, and my son’s is the peanut wings! Delicious cocktails (the lychee martini is to die for) and terrific VT/NH craft beers on tap. Oh and try the yummy edamame! A friendly and vibrant scene awaits you at this delicious downtown Brattleboro eatery.

The entire experience is amazing. The restaurant was started by two best friends (one of them is a chef and the other is a waiter) and has an overall great vibe. The menu is small but delicious and had amazing appetizers. We got 4 appetizers (tofu, edamame, spring rolls, chive bites) which were very good. As a main, we got the peanut noodles which were okay. The consistency wasn’t the best but the overall flavor was really good.

The owner was accommodating and created a welcoming environment. Food and drinks were amazing. Waitresses/Waiters were helpful and provided excellent service, everyone was great. My girlfriend and I are Gluten Free and they were very accommodating. Atmosphere was great, place was very clean.

Really nice atmosphere with great food and drinks. I usually get the Pad Thai or Massaman curry both of which are delicious. This place cooks shrimp better than anywhere they’re super plump and cooked to perfection every time. It’s a really great spot and fairly priced. They’re also really great for takeout. I love how you just order when you get there like a bar. Makes it super efficient. You don’t have to wait around for someone to take your order.

High Thai did a menu update recently and now the paper menu in the restaurant is very clearly labeled to show which dishes are vegetarian, vegan, and/or GF and when a dish may be modified to be vegan or vegetarian. This update was the result of a suggestion from the community and I really appreciated them taking the idea to heart to make the restaurant more inclusive and welcoming. My favorite dish is the peppery green bean appetizer and the yellow curry with tofu.
